On March 28, the 2011 SYSU Medical Administration Conference was held in Huaishi Hall, South Campus. The conference had a review and a summary of the work of SYSU health care system during the 11th Five Year Plan, explored the development strategy of hospitals as well as researched and arranged work of medical administration. Zhao Minggang, deputy director of Department of Medical Administration, Ministry of Health, Qi Yutai, deputy secretary of Guangdong Health Department, Liao Xinbo, deputy director of Guangdong Health Department, Zheng Detao, secretary of SYSU, and Wang Jianping, vice-president of SYSU were present at the conference. The conference was hosted by the vice-president Wang Jianping.

Altogether, principals from Department of Disciplines Inspection and Supervision of SYSU, Department of Medicine, Information and Network Center, Medical Education Office and Medicine Department, presidents and secretaries of affiliated hospitals, vice-presidents in charge of medicine and information and principals from other relevant departments, nearly 140 people were present at the conference.
