The International Business Forum of Sun Yat-sen University, hosted by School of Business, was held in Huaishi Hall on June 18th. Former Governor of Guangdong Province and Honorary President of School of Business Lu Ruihua, Deputy Secretary General of Government of Guangdong Province Liu Xiaojie, Deputy Director-General of the Guangdong Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Department Zhu Zenan, Vice President of Sun Yat-sen University Chen Chunsheng, President of School of Business Lu Yadong attended the opening ceremony.

At the forum, the outstanding delegates from educational, political and business circles delivered speeches on the theme of “the Transformation and Progress of Chinese Enterprises against the Backdrop of Globalization” and talked profoundly on the issues concerning with reconstruction and transformation of Chinese enterprises, innovation and business establishment, internationalization, competition and cooperation of enterprises domestic and abroad. Meanwhile, the forum has invited part of entrepreneurs’ representatives to participate in the forum.

More than 300 elites from domestic and international business circles and business schools as well as teachers and students from the university attended the forum. In the meantime, Professor Lu Yadong, the President of School of Business, proposed the theme for the next forum “Power of China - the International Competitiveness of Chinese Enterprises”, which offered clear directions for Business Forum of Sun Yat-sen University in two years later.
