May 19th observed the grand opening of the First China (Guangdong) Postdoctoral Talents Exchanges and Scientific and Technological Projects Fair in Foshan. The Fair was jointly hosted by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China and People’s Government of Guangdong Province, and was jointly organized by Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Guangdong Province, Office of National Postdoctoral Administrative Committee and People’s government of Foshan City. Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC, Secretary of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Wang Yang; Deputy Secretary of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Guangdong Province, Huang Huahua had a cordial meeting with representatives of postdoctors at the opening ceremony. Deputy Minister of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Director of National Postdoctoral Administrative Committee, Wang Xiaochu; member of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, Xiao Zhiheng; President of SYSU, Xu Ningsheng; and leaders from other universities like Tsinghua University and Peking University attended this meeting. On behalf of SYSU, Deputy Secretary Li Ping signed an agreement with Foshan Municipal Government on the strategic cooperation and sharing of postdoctoral advanced talent resources. Deputy Dean of the School of Pharmaceutical Science of SYSU, Professor Liu Peiqing signed a letter of intent with Guangdong PIDI Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. on the construction project of a joint laboratory; Foshan Research Institute of SYSU signed a letter of intent with Foshan Evercore Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. on the technological project of high color rendering index integrated optical source module; head of Human Resources Department, Luo Teng signed an agreement with two famous enterprises in Guangdong on joint recruitment and cultivation of postdoctors.
