The 17th Annual Conference of International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS) was held from June 22 to 25 in Spain. 1500 experts and scholars all over the world who studies liver transplantation gathered in Valencia International Conference Centre and carried out 4 days’ academic meetings.

The Annual Conference of ILTS is the most influential conference in the field of liver transplantation, and this year the 2011 Joint International Congress of ILTS ELITA and LICAGE has been held.


Researchers studying liver transplantation in the 3rd Affiliated Hospital of SYSU contributed actively to the conference and had many pieces of abstract accepted. Wang Guoying was invited to present his thesis “Preoperative Elevated Neutrophil to Lymphocyte Ratio Increases Risk of Tumor Recurrence after Liver Tranplantation for Hepatocellular Carcinoma”, which has been rated as Excellent Thesis by the Academic and Organising Committee of the conference and won him the“Young Investigator Award”, same as other 25 scholars.
