Afternoon, apr.24th, about 30 alumni of the School of Life Science of SYSU from Zhuhai had come together to Zhuhai campus to take part in the founding ceremony for the Alumni Association of the School of Life Science of SYSU, and the first Congress for members. Wu Shaoxin, Secretary of the Party Community of the Department of Life and Science, Su Wensheng, Executive Vice-president, Lu Yongjun, Vice-president, Feng Shuang, Vice-president, Chen Guihua, Deputy-secretary of the Party Community of the department of life and science, leaders, professors and relevant alumni were present at the ceremony and Ye Li, deputy director of the Zhuhai campus had attended the inaugural meeting.
Wu Shaoxin presented the recent development of the department of life and science and a few experiences: first, energy of alumni was the activity and status was the role. Through all kinds of activities the alumni association will serve as a bridge for alumni, enhance the Alumni Association of cohesion and solidarity; second, the Alumni Association will become home of alumni and provides positive service, and by the outstanding achievement of alumni it will enhance the reputation of SYSU by making contributions to local economic development and society improvement; third, what we should do is to continue improving and cooperating so as to develop working level of alumni association and to improve the development of SYSU, alumni and the alumni association.
Liang Suiya, deputy-director of the Alumni Association informed the recent work and development of the Alumni Association, and presented some activities of the Alumni Association. The leader of the School of Life Scienceawarded letter of appointment and souvenirs for Wang Deyou, founding President of Alumni Association of the School of Life Sciencein Zhuhai and chairman of Zhuhai Jia Enterprise Co., Ltd. Meanwhile Wen Fanged, the organizer of Alumni Association of the School of Life Sciencein Zhuhai was awarded souvenirs.
