December 24^th, the 2009 annual awarding ceremony of Sun Yat-sen University Green Grass Industry and Technology Research Center "Wan Xinda Scholarship" took place on the South Campus. A total of 14 graduate students majoring in Ecology, Environmental Science and Grassland Science received the scholarship. The director of Sun Yat-sen University Green Grass Industry and Technology Research Center, Yang Zhongyi, presided over the ceremony.

Shenzhen Wan Xinda Environmental Construction Virescence Ltd. is a private enterprise engaging in eco-environmental restoration, environmental greening and soil and water conservation. Wan Xinda Company invested one million Yuan as a fund in 2004, to set up the Wan Xinda Scholarship in our school to reward excellent doctoral and master students whose major direction is Ecology, Environmental Science and Grassland Science. This year is the 6th awarding ceremony since the establishment of the scholarship, with a total of four first prizes, four second prizes and six encouraging prizes.
