On November 1, 2009 Zhongming Scholarship award ceremony and the inspirational lecture of the sponsored students were held on the East Campus of SYSU. Four hundred teachers and students from nineteen colleges in Guangdong province participated in the event. The Deputy Secretary Zhu Kongjun gave a speech at the lecture, emphasizing the importance of integrity. He expected the sponsored students to be motivated by the lecture, accumulated the knowledge, enhance their ability, and become valuable and useful people.
